Kea Clubs provide a safe and nurturing environment where young children can have fun, make friends, and explore their creativity.
Keas will:
- Go on exciting adventures and have lots of fun
- Play heaps of games and build strong friendships
- Learn to share and care for others
- Gain confidence through hands-on activities
- Explore and care for nature and the outdoors
- Develop simple, practical life skills
- Get ready to move up to the Cub section
The Kea programme is designed for children in Years 1 to 3 at school.

I share, I care I discover I grow |
We’re hoping to start a Kea section (ages 5–8) at Hobsonville Point Scouts, but we need your help to make it happen!
If your child would be keen to join—or if you’re able to lend a hand as a volunteer—please take a moment to complete this short survey.
Once we have enough interest and support, we’ll be in touch to arrange a few trial sessions for your son or daughter. Keas get to enjoy fun weekly meetings and exciting weekend activities—many of which are free, though some (like sleepovers) may have a small cost to cover expenses.
Got questions? Feel free to email us at keas@hobsonvillepointscouts.org.nz.
